Power or Sail Boat

Power boating and Sail boating are generally two different types of boating.  While each has its own benefits, both are enjoyable.

Being out on the water is always pleasurable regardless of how your boat is powered.

It has been my experience that the most problems arise when family members don't enjoy the same type of boating.  When I say family members I mean husband wife and children.

Children get board quickly and when they are not happy parents are not happy.  Sail boating entails spending a significant time on you sail boat, in close quarters.

If children fit into your boating plans you are hopefully boating where they can keep occupied.  Swimming, beaching, fishing, short boat trips usually work best.  I have seen a few very unhappy sail boaters who were forced to buy power boat for family reasons.

Both powering boating and sail boating are great choices, just be sure they are for all those who you intend to enjoy boating with.
